Although these images are digitally altered with layer upon layer and hour upon hour of meticulous manipulation, they betray their electronic passage with a puzzling realism which sets the obviously photographic against the ambiguously fabricated appearance of the ungulfing atmosphere.  Each is titled after a mythological god or goddess from belief systems around the world, past and present, or in the case of the gods from jazz, a novel contemporaneous extraterrestrial world. As with all mythological beings, they are reflections of ourselves.
