This series is a work in progress. Phases I & IV (not shown) are the ‘straight’ artist’s proofs, gelatin silver prints enlarged from the original negatives, image size 38 cm. Phase II, III, & V are the finished realizations created digitally from high resolution scans of the original negatives. Phase II & III are 76 cm gelatin silver prints, mounted, hand painted, and framed. The phase II gallery shows them with linen liner and simple black frame, finished size 90 cm square. Phase V, subtitled the gods from jazz, will be printed larger, 92 cm image, and framed in a similar fashion, finished size 110 cm.
